NOTICE OF FY 2020 GRANT APPLICATION

DRAFT PROGRAM OF PROJECTS

 

In accordance with the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) of 2012, Battle Creek Transit hereby gives notice of its intention to apply for financial assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). 

 

Battle Creek Transit is requesting a total of $17,676,724 through the following funding sources:

The proposed applications are available upon request from Battle Creek Transit and may be reviewed during a 30-day period (June 4, 2020 to July 3, 2020).  Due to office closure as a result of the COVID-19, in person review of the application is not feasible. Battle Creek Transit encourages and welcomes any comments or questions from area residents regarding the proposed use of Federal funds to support these projects.  Effective June 4, 2020, a thirty (30) day comment period will be provided to receive any oral or written comments pertaining to these projects.  If sufficient interest is indicated, a public hearing may be scheduled to receive additional input on these projects.  If no significant comments are received during the thirty (30) day period that would change the scope of these projects, the draft program of projects will automatically become the final program of projects that will be considered by the Federal Transit Administration.  Please contact Mallory Avis, at 269-966-3588 or at mravis@battlecreekmi.gov if you have any questions regarding these projects.
