Responsibilities
The warrant officers is a liaison between the police department and courts. They are responsible for:
- Conducting monthly Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) validations
- Conducting out of county warrant pick-ups (which also includes billing for felony pick-ups)
- Managing and enforcing the sex offender registry
- Maintaining and managing information regarding warrant requests
- Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) cost recovery billing
- Preparing weekly signed warrant lists
