Local Advisory Council (LAC)

The Council shall advise Battle Creek Transit and the Battle Creek City Commission in areas relating to the planning, delivery, and operation of demand response/paratransit services provided by Battle Creek Transit pursuant to the federal requirements of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 1990, 42 USC 12101 et seq. 
Legal Function
The Council's legal function is to review and comment upon the Application Agency (Battle Creek Transit's) Vehicle Accessibility Plan and updates. 

The members of the Council shall be appointed by resolution adopted by the Battle Creek City Commission. Any vacancy on the Council shall be filled by the Battle Creek City Commission, based upon the recommendation of the Transit Manager of Battle Creek Transit.

Meetings start immediately following the Local Coordinating Committee and typically are held at:
