Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a townhouse on fire at 743 Oakbrook Blvd. The caller reported the fire was from a neighboring apartment building. Truck 6 and Squad 6 arrived to find fire in the attic area. A hose line was stretched to extinguish the fire. The fire unit was determined to be vacant. Engine 2, Rescue 3, Rescue 4, Squad 4 and Engine 5 assisted with evacuating adjoining units and support functions. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical. Due to the quick actions by fire crews, no injuries occurred and fire loss was minimal.
