The city has created a new online, interactive map that displays current and upcoming projects from our Department of Public Works.
These could include road closures for water, sewer or road resurfacing work; water shutoffs, parks closures for maintenance work and more.
The map is updated on an as-needed basis alongside the city's public release of information related to such projects, and is monitored by staff during the business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is meant to inform citizens about work that may interfere with commutes, recreation or operation of city-owned utilities.
The map is device friendly and is available at our website, www.battlecreekmi.gov. Find it now in the City Spotlight section, near the bottom of the home page, and permanently at Your Government - Departments/Geographic Information Systems - Applications.
Click on the color-coded lines or outlines along affected city streets to view more information about that project, including expected work dates, what the project involves, and the expected impact.
Feedback or questions about this new mapping feature can be sent to PublicInput@battlecreekmi.gov.
