[ARCHIVED] MSU to conduct rider survey for BC Transit, MDOT

bus

Separate surveys available for Tele-Transit users and bus riders, now through May 1.

City officials are asking Battle Creek Transit users to complete a survey about their experiences, between now and May 1.

Michigan State University is conducting the survey and collecting results for the Michigan Department of Transportation, as part of a new state requirement that transit agencies survey customers every three years. Results will be used to improve transit services here and across the state, and the city will share local results when we receive them.

There are two surveys, with two processes, for Tele-Transit (“Demand Response”) users, and for bus (“Fixed Route”) riders.

For Tele-Transit users, anyone who has used the service in the last year will receive a survey in the mail that can be returned to Battle Creek Transit drivers, or mailed directly to MSU.

For bus riders, two MSU students will ride a variety of Transit routes throughout the day tomorrow, Friday, March 24; Wednesday, April 5; and Saturday, April 8.They will distribute paper copies of the survey and help riders start and/or complete the surveys. These also can be returned to the drivers.

Both surveys are available online:

Bus – www.surveymonkey.com/r/BCTFixedRoute

Each survey should take five to 10 minutes to complete. City officials appreciate everyone’s participation.
