Public Works/Road Work

[ARCHIVED] Two road closures Thursday for sewer work

Department of Public Works building

Two sections of city streets will be closed on Thursday to allow for sewer maintenance work.

Elm Street between Capital Avenue NE and Clay Street, as well as Hazel Street between Northside Drive and Baldwin Avenue, will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Thursday, Dec. 17.

This work is a demonstration project in which the city will clean, take video and apply a pipe patch to sanitary sewer pipes in these areas to test the patch product and determine if it is technology we can use for future repairs.

This is a separate project from the ongoing sewer pipe condition assessment work that RedZone Robotics is performing this on a sample of city streets.

Emergency vehicles will have access to these areas during the work on Thursday. We appreciate everyone’s patience.
