The next 2018 elections are around the corner, and the City Clerk’s Office seeks neighbors from the community to help work at the city’s 23 precincts for the Aug. 7 primary and Nov. 6 general elections.
Positions available are precinct chairperson, computer operator, and election inspector. At this time, chairpersons will receive $12 per hour, computer operators receive $11 per hour, and election inspectors earn $10 per hour.
Duties include assisting voters at the polls, checking voter registrations, entering names into poll books, and setting up voting stations. The city’s precincts serve about 39,000 voters.
