Stop by Continental Pastries and Deli in Battle Creek next Wednesday, Oct. 3 to grab a coffee with Battle Creek Police, as part of this year’s National Coffee with a Cop event.
The first event took place in California in 2011, with programs in all 50 states by 2016. The events across the country, and now in other countries, aim to give neighbors and police the chance to experience positive interactions and communication, outside of the crisis situations that typically bring neighbors and police together.
Battle Creek Police command staff and patrol officers will meet neighbors at Continental, 928 W. Columbia Ave., from 8 to 10 a.m. next Wednesday. Enjoy a free cup of coffee, and conversation with your local officers.
The BCPD hopes to see you there!
