Other information: Battle Creek Fire Department and VA Fire Department (automatic mutual aid) were dispatched to black smoke coming out of the chimney of Rosler Manufacturing. BCFD Rescue 4 had to force entry into the building, and found smoke in the warehouse area. They found the source to be an oven used for their processing. They followed the emergency shut-down procedures for the oven, and that extinguished the fire. Made contacts with works on-side, and spoke with a supervisor via phone. Crews ventilated smoke from the warehouse area and cleared the scene. BCFD and VAFD responded with five engine companies, one truck company, one squad company, and a command car, for a total of 22 personnel. Most companies were released after the emergency shut-down procedures. Rescue 4 and Engine 2 were on scene for over an hour to complete ventilation.
