Routine inspection and cleaning of the city’s sanitary sewer system will take place beginning on Friday, December 10, 2021.
City contractor, Taplin Group LLC, will perform the work as part of the city’s routine televising and cleaning plan. “Televising” is the process of inspecting the sanitary sewer lines using cameras.
All work will take place in the public right of way and in sanitary sewer easements. Disruption to neighbors will be minimal and streets will remain open to traffic. However, temporary lane closures are possible. Please use caution while driving through these areas.
The following areas will be worked on starting Friday, with work taking place from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Televising is expected to be complete by December 31, weather permitting.
- Cliff Street, between Main Street and Caine Street
- East Avenue, between Emmett Street and Berkley Avenue
- Wagner drive, between Union Street and Roosevelt Avenue
- VanBuren Street, between Capital Avenue and Union Street
