Police arrested a 17-year-old for felonious assault today, after the youth fired a gunshot at people in front of a home in the 200 block of South Kendall Street.
Police believe the youth fired one shot at a group of people in front of the home, with whom the youth was having a conflict. People in a car driving by at the time thought the youth was shooting at them, and called police at 11:48 a.m.
No one was hit or injured. Police do not know how many people were in front of the home.
Police collected a .38 caliber handgun from the home.
Police have placed the youth in the Calhoun County Juvenile Home.
