Staff from the city’s Inspection Division will hold a community conversation next Wednesday morning, Feb. 7, to review the division’s action plan, and talk about shared commitments moving forward.
The conversation is open to the public and will be held from 7-8:30 a.m. at the Kool Family Community Center, 200 W. Michigan Ave.
Staff will talk about some of the changes and improvements in the Inspections Division in recent years, like hiring a chief building officer, changing the vacant and abandoned property ordinance, and improving the same-day permit issuance process.
They will take feedback from attendees, and discuss future plans for more community engagement, including informal meetings between staff and the public, newsletters, and customer satisfaction surveys.
