Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department responded with all companies to a residential structure fire. Engine 2 arrived first on scene, performed a scene size-up, and went interior to investigate. Car 3 arrived on scene and was notified that it was a small cooking fire, already extinguished by the sprinkler system. All companies cleared the scene except for Engine 5, to help with ventilation. Building maintenance was notified and the sprinkler system was put back in operation.
