Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to a possible structure at the Chateau Village Apartments, 685 E. Michigan Ave., at approximately 9:40 a.m. Car 3, Engine 3, and Truck 1 arrived to find light smoke coming from apartment 105. A kitchen fire was quickly extinguished and all other companies were released from the scene. The Fire Inspector arrived on the scene and the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
