BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City crews will work to complete asphalt repair work at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Golden Avenue, resulting in temporary lane shifts, tomorrow, Thursday, June 13.
This asphalt repair work is needed because of previous water valve replacement work in this same area.
The following temporary lane shifts will be in place during work hours:
- Southbound Riverside Drive traffic will be shifted to the far-right, southbound lane, eliminating the left-turn lane.
- The normal northbound lane of Riverside Drive will be closed for construction. Northbound Riverside Drive traffic will continue northbound using the southbound turn lane.
- Westbound Golden Avenue traffic turning right/north onto Riverside Drive will need to use Riverside’s southbound turn lane to continue north.
- All other traffic should be unaffected during this work.
Crews expect this asphalt repair work to begin by 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13, and be completed by 11 a.m. The temporary lane shifts will be lifted then, too.
While there are no expected complete road closures during this asphalt repair work, neighbors are reminded to be aware of crews and equipment in the area during work hours, as well as to obey any traffic signage in place due to the work.
