BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City traffic crews will complete upgrade work at the intersection of North Avenue and Emmett Street, that will result in the intersection operating as a temporary four-way stop, beginning tonight, Monday, June 17.
The work at the intersection of North Avenue and Emmett Street will include upgrades to the traffic cabinet and vehicle detection systems at the intersection.
While there are no expected complete road closures, the upgrade work will require the traffic signal at the intersection of North Avenue and Emmett Street to be shut down. Temporary stop signs will be put in place during this work, and the intersection will operate as a four-way stop.
Crews will begin this upgrade work at 6 p.m. Monday, June 17, and expect the equipment installation to be complete by 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, with the temporary four-way stop being removed then, too.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during all work on our city’s infrastructure.
