[ARCHIVED] Battle Creek Police respond to stabbing Monday night; one injured, one in custody

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A 37-year-old Battle Creek woman is in custody after a dispute turned physical Monday night, Sept. 2.

Battle Creek Police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Capital Avenue SW around 10:30 p.m. Upon arrival, witnesses reported a woman had been stabbed. 

The victim, a 24-year-old Battle Creek woman, was not found at the scene. Officers located her a short time later at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, where she was treated for a stab wound to her forehead.

Following their interview with the victim and subsequent investigation, officers arrested a 37-year-old woman for aggravated assault and transported her to the Calhoun County Jail.
