[ARCHIVED] BCFD responds to Westrock machine fire, no injuries reported

More information: The Battle Creek Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance were dispatched to a packaging facility on Angell Street shortly before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. 

Rescue 2 arrived to find smoke coming from a roof vent. Inside, they found a fire on the second floor, confined to the vent stack area of a paper roller. 

Car 3 took command, while Engine 4 and Engine 5 assisted inside. The building's fire extinguisher system had contained the fire, allowing crews to extinguish it and perform overhaul. Truck 1, Engine 3, and Rescue 6 provided support. 

The fire was extinguished in 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
