
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City contractor crews will complete sidewalk replacement work along Capital Avenue SW, resulting in a temporary sidewalk and lane closure, beginning today, Monday, Oct. 13.
The sidewalk replacement work will occur in two phases:
- Phase 1 - east side of Capital Avenue SW
- Phase 2 - west side of Capital Avenue SW
The temporary sidewalk and lane closure will be in place along Capital Avenue SW, from Dickman Road to the railroad tracks, as follows:
- Phase 1 - sidewalk on the east side of Capital Avenue SW will be closed; northbound lane of Capital Avenue SW will be temporarily closed and detoured to the middle lane
- Phase 2 - sidewalk on the west side of Capital Avenue SW will be closed; southbound lane of Capital Avenue SW will be temporarily closed and detoured to the middle lane
Crews plan to begin this sidewalk replacement work Monday, Oct. 13, and expect it to be completed within two weeks, by Monday, Oct. 27. Work hours will generally be from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
