Law enforcement agencies across Calhoun County have received questions about what documentation workers need if traveling to and from work during the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order 2020-21. This should only apply to workers who are considered critical infrastructure workforce. Please note: Calhoun County law enforcement agencies countywide will not be stopping vehicles and will not be requesting any type of travel documentation. Many businesses have reached out to all agency offices requesting guidance on travel documents that their employees should be carrying if they’re traveling out of county or to different jurisdictions. We are creating a recommendation outline for businesses based on their request. This is the letter that critical infrastructure workers would carry with them as they travel for work. We are receiving many calls regarding complaints about businesses remaining open in violation of the Governor’s order. Currently, we ask the public to use good judgement when contacting law enforcement agencies regarding this.
