As we often experience this time of year, after heavy rains, the high water level of the Battle Creek River has required some closures today.
The National Weather Service out of Grand Rapids issued a flood warning, which includes Calhoun County and is in place through this afternoon.
City Field Services staff continue to monitor conditions, and post barricades as needed.
Current closures are:
- Linear Park path under the Emmett Street bridge, near Wagner Drive
- Linear Park path under the West Michigan Avenue bridge, downtown
- ANYbodies Playground at Bailey Park
Please use caution in these areas, and throughout the city on the Linear Park path, and other areas where high water causes flooding. Do not drive over roads completely covered with water.
