Other information: Battle Creek Fire Department Engine 2, Engine 5 and Car 3 was dispatched to a fire alarm, unknown location, at Fieldstone Center.  Engine 2 arrived to find nothing showing from the exterior.  After investigating, it was determined that an elevator motor overheated and caught fire.  Employees had extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher.  Engine 2 assisted in ventilating the smoke from the mechanical room.  No injuries were reported.  The facility was able to return to normal operations shortly after the incident.
