Milling and paving on Main Street

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Lakeland Asphalt will begin milling and paving as part of the continuing work on Main Street on Wednesday, August 5.

Lakeland Asphalt will mill and resurface Main Street, from Columbia Avenue to Dickman Road, which will include the small section of Main Street, from Hamblin Avenue to Division Street. 

During this work, lane widths will be narrow but the road will remain open.

The work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The work is expected to be complete by Tuesday, August 11, weather permitting.  Pavement markings will be placed later.

This project is in coordination with the Calhoun County Road Department for its section of Main Street, from Columbia Avenue to the city limits.

Pedestrians and motorists traveling through this area are advised to obey all traffic regulators and use caution.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during this and all work.
