City of Battle Creek voters who cast their ballots at Battle Creek Community Church will continue voting there for the Nov. 3 election.
The church is home to city precincts 15 and 17, at 552 E. Emmett St.
In September, the City Commission approved an emergency alternate precinct location, but this is no longer necessary.
The June storms in the city caused power outages at the church, and power returning destroyed the church’s elevator circuit board. Staff was unsure the elevator would be repaired in time for the November election; election law requires all polling locations be accessible to those who might require an elevator’s use to use the polling place.
The elevator is repaired, and Battle Creek Community Church will be ready to welcome voters in precincts 15 and 17 who choose to vote in person on Nov. 3.
