Water main work continues/Cañerías Principales – Fairfield Avenue

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — city contractors will continue water main work on Fairfield Avenue that requires temporary water shutoffs and a road closure beginning Thursday, June 3.

This work will require temporary water shutoffs from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the areas below:

  • Fairfield Avenue between Foster Avenue and LaVista Boulevard
  • Orleans Avenue between Pioneer Street and Circle Drive
  • Beckman Avenue between Territorial Road and Orleans Avenue

The areas and time could change due to unforeseen circumstances.

City neighbors in this area should be prepared to be without water and for a potential boil water advisory when service returns. Additional information will be made available to the media, and through the city’s website and social media, should it become necessary.

Also during this work, the intersection of Beckman Avenue and Fairfield Avenue will be closed to through traffic.  Residents will have access to their homes.  Emergency vehicles will NOT have access. 

Door hangers will be distributed to the homes affected.  We appreciate everyone’s patience during this work.
