Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 425 Porter Street-Kellogg Plant at 2:58 a.m. All crews were advised to use the Jameson entrance. Car 3 and Rescue 3 were on the scene first, establishing command and making entrance for fire attack. A small fire was contained to the processing duct work and, with the aid of Engine 2, was brought quickly under control. Truck 6 set up for aerial operations and Rescue 4, Engine 5 and Squad 6 were staged for additional resources. BCFD was on scene for approximately one hour.
