Work began today in preparation of a project to replace the water mains on North 24th, 27th and 28th streets this summer.
This replacement project is taking place to address problems in this area with frozen services lines and breaks during cold winter months.
Construction is expected to begin next week, lasting until late summer or early fall. The streets will remain open and residents will have access; affected residents already should have received a letter from the city about this project.
The affected sections of these streets are:
· North 24th – Highland Boulevard to Goguac Street
· North 27th – Territorial Road to Highland
· North 28th – Territorial to Goguac
