The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 59 Bennett St.  Car 3 arrived within two minutes to find fire showing from the first and second floors of a two-unit dwelling and smoke throughout.  Rescue 3 extended a handline to the first floor while Engine 2 extended a handline to the second floor.  Rescue 4, Engine 5, Truck 6 and Squad 6 assisted with fire attack, searching for any occupants and ventilation.  It was later determined that all occupants had safely exited prior to arrival.  The fire was under control within 40 minutes. Multiple rooms in the home were on fire, and fire ultimately extended into the attic.  Due to the quick actions of the fire department, no injuries were reported and the damage was isolated as much as possible.  The fire marshal is investigating the fire for cause.
