Other information: Car 3, Truck 1, Engine 2, Rescue 3, Engine 5, Rescue 6, Squad 2, and Squad 6 were dispatched to a residential storage unit structure fire. Engine 2 was the first unit to arrive on scene to find smoke coming from the vents of the roof. Engine 2 pulled an attack hose line to make an interior attack and quickly gained fire control in the first-floor makeshift living area. Civilians that were occupying the structure were safely outside upon arrival. Crews then performed ventilation, salvage, and overhaul. No civilians or firefighters were injured. The fire was caused by contents that were too close to a wood stove that was unattended.
