Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 3940 S Minges Rd. Rescue 6 and Squad 6 arrived within four minutes to find smoke showing from the attic area of a single family one-story home. Rescue 6 extended a hose line while Squad 6 investigated further. Car 3 established command. Rescue 3 assisted with extinguishing the fire and overhaul. Fire was located in the attic area over the garage. All occupants had safely exited prior to BCFD arrival. The fire was under control within 10 minutes and damage was minimized due to the quick actions of the fire department. The cause of the fire was shorted electrical wiring. No injuries reported.
