We have some Battle Creek Transit bus route updates for Friday and Saturday, based on public works projects happening. Anyone with questions, or who needs help planning a trip, should call the Transit team at 269-966-3474.
Friday, May 20
Due to road repairs on East Avenue, the 2E-Emmett/East Avenue bus will temporarily detour on Friday, May 20 starting at 7:45 a.m.
A lane of East Avenue N will be closed between Cornell Drive and Lawler Street on Friday. During this closure, the 2E bus will turn left on Pleasantview Drive, right on Garrison Road, and left on Roosevelt to resume the regular route.
While operating on detour, we will be unable to service the bus stop(s) located on East Avenue before Clifton Street and on East Avenue at Roosevelt. Passengers who normally use these stops should plan to use the stop located on East Avenue near Pleasantview Drive or on Roosevelt Avenue after Garrison.
Once the roadwork is completed, we will resume our regular route.
Saturday, May 21
Due to the water valve replacement on Capital Avenue SW this weekend the 4S-SW Capital bus will detour on Saturday, May 21.
Traveling outbound, the 4S bus will turn left on Golden Avenue, right on Riverside Drive, right on E. Hamilton Lane, and left on Capital Avenue SW, returning back to the regular route.
Traveling inbound, the 4S bus will turn right on E. Hamilton Lane, left on Riverside Drive, left on Golden Avenue, and right on SW Capital, returning back to the regular route.
The following bus stops located between Golden Avenue and E Hamilton Lane on Capital SW will not be serviced on Saturday, May 21.
