Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3:53 p.m. to 407 E. Emmett St. Rescue 3, Truck 1 and Car 3 were first on the scene to find a two-story house with heavy fire involvement at the rear of the structure. An aggressive interior attack was performed in coordination with crews on scene with Engine 2, Engine 5, Rescue 6 and Squads 2 and 6 all playing a vital role in bringing the fire under control. No one was home at the time of the incident and the cause of the fire is unknown. The fire is being investigating by the Battle Creek Fire Marshal.
