[ARCHIVED] McCamly Street traffic signal work to close lanes Monday

Signal work on McCamly Street

Two traffic signal mast arm projects will occasionally close traffic lanes downtown starting on Monday, June 6.

• At the Jackson and McCamly streets intersection, Ranck Electric will begin the process of replacing the signal mast arms, closing lanes at times. Pedestrians should be advised that the sidewalks at this intersection will close, and remain so for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete by September. A pedestrian detour will be provided.

• At the Michigan Avenue and McCamly Street intersection, Severance Electric will construct four new traffic signal mast arms, starting at 9 a.m. This will require all traffic lanes, one at a time, to be temporarily closed while the mast arms are installed. This intersection is expected to be completely open by late afternoon on Monday.
All work is dependent on the weather.

Motorists should anticipate possible delays near these intersections and are advised to seek alternate routes when possible. Please be alert for police officers or other workers directing traffic. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this work.
