City Hall will be open extra hours this week, leading up the primary election next Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Here are some city Clerk’s Office dates, hours, and election information to help you plan your vote:
- Open at City Hall regular hours until 5 p.m. today – Friday, July 29. You can request that we mail an absentee ballot to you until 4 p.m. today.
- Open to the public 8 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday, July 30. Only the Clerk’s Office will be open on Saturday, to issue absentee ballots, and register new voters or voters with an address change.
- Open to the public regular 8 a.m.-5 p.m. hours on Monday, Aug. 1. The Clerk’s Office can issue an absentee ballot, but voters must vote the ballot in the Clerk’s Office, and cannot leave with it. The team also can register new voters or voters with an address change.
- Open to the public at 7 a.m. on Election Day – Tuesday, Nov. 2. Staff can still register new voters in the office, but NOT at the precincts. Staff cannot issue absentee ballots; voters must go to their precincts to vote.
Our absentee ballot drop box also is available for your completed absentee ballot, right outside the entrance to City Hall.
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2. Get more information by calling the Clerk’s Office at 269-966-3311 or visiting battlecreekmi.gov/elections.
