2022 Crack Fill Program
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – City crews will begin crack filling this week in several locations.
Crack filling is one of our street programs that prevents the cracks from widening and spreading, keeping water out and maintaining recently-treated roads for another two to three years. Compressed air is used to prep the area, hot rubber to fill the cracks, and water to cool the rubber quickly.
Below are the areas that crack filling work will be performed:

The roads will be open at all times, however, please expect intermittent, temporary lane shifts and delays on these roads. Please proceed slowly through these areas when workers are present, and abide by all traffic signs and control measures.
Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. The work is scheduled to be complete by Tuesday, August 30.
