Due to a delay with construction materials, traffic signal mast arm work at Michigan Avenue and McCamly Street is now scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 8.
The work was scheduled previously for Monday.
Severance Electric will construct the four new mast arms. This will require all traffic lanes, one at a time, to be temporarily closed while the mast arms are installed. The intersection is expected to be completely open again by late afternoon on Wednesday.
Work also continues to replace the signal mast arms at Jackson and McCamly streets.
All work is dependent on the weather. Both projects are expected to be complete in September.
Motorists should anticipate possible delays near these intersections and are advised to seek alternate routes when possible. Please be alert for police officers or other workers directing traffic. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this work.
