[ARCHIVED] Crack fill program starts Wednesday, June 8

Crack fill program map

The city’s contractor will begin our crack fill program on city streets during the afternoon of Wednesday, July 8.

It is not known exactly what time Wednesday work will begin nor on which street. However, the contractor will begin on the west side of the city, moving east.

The program is expected to take about two weeks. Crack filling is one of our street programs that prevents the cracks from widening and spreading, keeping water out and maintaining recently-treated roads for another two to three years. The filler is a cold liquid asphalt.

The roads will be open at all times, however, please expect intermittent delays on these roads. We appreciate everyone’s patience during this work. As always, the work is weather dependent.
