[ARCHIVED] Tree removal causes intermittent closures, delays on Country Club Dr.; More paving for this week

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City crews will be assisting Consumers Energy with the removal of a tree on Country Club Drive today, Tuesday, Oct. 11.

The tree removal work may cause intermittent closures or temporary delays to traffic on Country Club Drive. Neighbors have also been notified of the work via door hangers distributed by the Public Works Department.

Work hours on the tree removal project will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. If additional work days are required on this project, we will share updates as necessary.

A city contractor will be paving two additional roadways today, Tuesday, Oct. 11, as well as a section of Linear Park path tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 12, as part of continuing paving projects in the city.

The roadways that will be paved Tuesday, Oct. 11, include:

  • The entire length of Buckner Road
  • The entire length of Logistics Drive

The specific part of Linear Park path that will be paved Wednesday, Oct. 12, is:

  • Linear Park path between Angell Street and North 20th Street

Work hours on the paving projects will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

During these paving projects, all roadways will remain OPEN to traffic, with one lane open and flaggers directing traffic. Neighbors will have access to their driveways, however there will be minor disruptions to motorists and neighbors as the paving crews make their way along each roadway.
