BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Contractors completing improvements at Kellogg Headquarters’ front entrance will result in the temporary closure of part of McCamly Street, beginning today, Thursday, Oct. 20.
The specific part of McCamly Street affected by this closure is:
- McCamly Street S. between Hamblin Avenue and Jackson Street W.
The McCamly Street closure will be in place from Oct. 20 through Dec. 20. Work hours during this project will generally be 8 a.m-10 p.m.
Battle Creek Transit will also have two detours in place, due to the McCamly Street closure, as follows:
2E-Emmett/East Avenue bus detour:
- Outbound: The 2E-Emmett/East Avenue bus will travel outbound by turning right on Hamblin Avenue, left on Division Street N., left on W. Van Buren Street, and right on McCamly Street to resume its regular route.
- Inbound: Traveling inbound the 2E-Emmett/East Avenue bus will travel left on W. Van Buren Street, right on Division Street N., right on Hamblin Avenue, and continue to the T-Center.
3W-Kendall/Goodale bus detour:
- Outbound: The 3W-Kendall/Goodale bus will travel outbound by turning right on Hamblin Avenue, left on Division Street N., left on W. Van Buren Street, and right on N. Washington Avenue to resume its regular route.
The following stops will NOT be serviced during the McCamly Street detour:
- Outbound: McCamly Street at Michigan Avenue; McCamly Street at Clara's on the River
- Inbound: McCamly Street at Michigan Avenue

The Kellogg Headquarters’ front entrance project will feature several new improvements along its McCamly Street entrance, including a new parking lot and walkways, as well as new landscaping. The work will generally be contained from the front of the Kellogg Headquarters building to the back of the street curb.
