[ARCHIVED] Police investigate murder in Warren Street area

Battle Creek Police are investigating a murder, after apparent gunshots in the area of Warren Street, which is near Oak Hill Cemetery. 

At about 1:20 a.m. today, neighbors in the area who heard gunshots called 911. Police responded to the call, and found a 36-year-old man lying in the yard of a home. 

It was apparent the man had multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted to give him medical help before LifeCare Ambulance arrived. They took the man to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Police do not believe this is connected to any other recent incident.
