BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Work to repair the railroad crossing located on Elm Street will cause a temporary closure of part of the street, beginning today, Tuesday, Nov. 8.
The specific part of Elm Street affected by this temporary closure is:
- Tuesday, Nov. 8 – Sunday, Nov. 13: The railroad crossing on Elm Street, located between the crossroads of Michigan Avenue and Cliff Street
Work crews will be repairing the asphalt surface across the railroad crossing on Elm Street. Work will begin at 7 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 8, and is expected to be completed by Sunday, Nov. 13.
The recommended detour around the railroad crossing repair work is as follows:
- Southbound: Right on Michigan Avenue (at Michigan and Elm Street), left on Hamblin Avenue, left on Main Street, and left on Cliff Street
- Northbound: Continue on Cliff Street and then right on Main Street, right on Hamblin Avenue, and right on Michigan Avenue
