James Casey was arraigned Thursday on charges related to the home invasion and shooting that happened early Monday on Howland Street.
At about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Battle Creek Police Investigation Division and Emergency Response Team served a search warrant at a home on Keith Drive, related to this investigation.
Casey, 36, the Howland Street suspect, was found inside the Keith Drive home, and police arrested him without incident.
Casey is charged with attempted murder, home invasion, and weapons offenses.
At about 3:25 a.m. Monday, a neighbor in the 200 block of Howland called 911 about a person who was shot. Police responded to a home and found a 45-year-old woman who was shot multiple times.
The Battle Creek Fire Department and LifeCare ambulance arrived and provided medical assistance to the woman, before taking her to a local hospital for treatment. She continues to be in stable condition.
