[ARCHIVED] Fire hydrant replacement work to cause temporary closure of Riverside Drive Thursday

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City water crews will work to replace a fire hydrant, resulting in the temporary closure of part of Riverside Drive Thursday, Dec. 15.

The specific part of Riverside Drive affected by this temporary closure is:

  • North-bound Riverside Drive, between Territorial Road E. and E. Burnham Street

Work hours on this project will be 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. The replacement fire hydrant is needed, following damage from a recent traffic accident.

There are no expected water shut-offs as a result of this work, as well as no resulting Battle Creek Transit detours from the temporary road closure.
