Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 371 W. Jackson St. Car 3 arrived within two minutes to find fire showing from the first-floor rear.  Engine 2 and Squad 2 arrived a minute later to begin fire attack and search on the first floor.  Truck 1 and Engine 5 were assigned second-floor fire attack and search.  Rescue 3 was assigned fire attack and search in the basement.  Rescue 6 and Squad 6 assisted with interior operations.  Fire was located in the basement, first and second floors.  Due to quick and coordinated actions, the fire was under control within 25 minutes and no injuries were reported.  The occupants were not home at the time of the fire.  The Fire Marshal is investigating for the cause.  Battle Creek Police and LifeCare Ambulance assisted at the scene.
