BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police are investigating the death of a 44-year-old Battle Creek woman, following a crossbow shooting incident Sunday, April 2.
Police responded to a home in the 700 block of Capital Avenue NE, following a call that a woman had been shot with a crossbow. After arriving on scene, officers located 44-year-old Kori-Lee Moser, and confirmed that she had been shot and injured with a crossbow.
Both Battle Creek Fire Department and LifeCare responded, and gave Moser medical care. She was transported to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital for emergency medical treatment, where she died from her injuries.
Police arrested the suspect who allegedly shot Moser with the crossbow, and they are lodged at the Calhoun County Jail, awaiting an arraignment hearing. There is no known motive for the crossbow shooting at this time.
Battle Creek Police are still investigating this case. There is no current threat to the community, from this incident.
