[ARCHIVED] Shoulder sweeping to result in progressing lane shifts along section of M-66/I-194 next week

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City street crews will be sweeping the northbound and southbound shoulders of a section of M-66/I-194 starting Monday, April 17, resulting in progressing lane shifts.

The specific section of roadway impacted by this work is:

  • Northbound and southbound shoulders of M-66/I-194, from Hamblin Avenue to Beckley Road

The shoulder sweeping work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Monday and should be completed, weather permitting, by 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.

During work hours, the above-mentioned section of M-66/I-194 will be a mobile work zone with progressing lane shifts in operation behind the city street crews’ equipment.

There are no expected road closures as a result of this shoulder sweeping work.
