Beckley Road is closed on both sides of Capital SW through Sunday, July 9.
While the Capital SW bridge is being demolished this weekend, I-94 is closed underneath, and MDOT is directing traffic onto Beckley Road.
This means Beckley has to be closed to local traffic from around Denny's on the west side of Capital, to Culver's on the east side of Capital.
- If you need to get to places on Beckley west of Capital or Capital south of Beckley, use Minges Creek Place or M-66 to Glenn Cross, then B Drive South. Use Sonoma Road to get back up to Beckley.
- To get north of I-94, use Riverside Drive or M-66 to the east of Capital, or Skyline Drive/Fort Custer area to the west.
We know this is all very messy. We have our staff working with MDOT to make sure better signs are out there, and police are aware of everything and out patrolling.
