BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police arrested two suspects, a 43-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 20, after responding to a stabbing incident.
Police arrived on the scene around 2 a.m. Thursday, July 20, to a home on Keith Drive, responding to a reported stabbing. Officers identified a 33-year-old man who was still bleeding from wounds to the upper part of his body.
The victim shared that he had been at a different home on South 22nd Street, where he had gone to purchase drugs. After arriving, he got into an argument with the 43-year-old man. The argument became physical when the victim was attacked by both the man and the 30-year-old woman. The victim was stabbed with a knife and then fled from the scene, back to his home on Keith Drive.
Police then arrived at the home on South 22nd Street, and located and arrested both of the suspects. Both suspects were lodged at the Calhoun County Jail and charged with assault with intent to murder.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he received medical attention and is in stable condition.
