BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City contractor crews from Lakeland Asphalt will perform milling along sections of Bryant Street and Radley Street Wednesday, Aug. 2, as part of the milling phase of the Piper Park neighborhood road rehabilitation project scheduled for this year.

The milling process involves the removal of part of the old pavement surface of a roadway in preparation for the paving of a new surface.

The specific sections of roadway impacted by this milling work include:

  • Bryant Street, from East Avenue North to Convis Street
  • Radley Street, from Maple Terrace to Woodward Avenue

Although there are no road closures during this project, we ask that neighbors do not park on the streets in the above-mentioned work areas to allow milling work to proceed uninterrupted. Neighbors will be able to access their driveways during this work, as well.

Crews anticipate this milling work to begin at 7 a.m. and be wrapped up by 7 p.m.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during all work on our city’s infrastructure.
